SWEET CHRISTMAS

Yes, Sweet Christmas indeed.

Have you taken the time to watch Luke Cage yet ?

As a Marvel fan I am biased but it is very good. More than that it is good to see a Black Hero,.

Luke Cage is causing a bit of tension in the Shariff house as I am liking Luke Cage a lot more than Power. Che & Ricardo, my adopted son are not happy with Fats. Ghost is a good character, but lets be honest...the guy is a Major Drug Dealer, Killer, Adulterer & Family Man..sheesh, that's quite a list. But we like Ghost, & Power has a huge following, including myself. Why do we like that Bad Dude trying to make good...or goodish. This one is not an Underdog...far from it.

But Luke Cage is refreshing, positive Blacksploitation...his Battle is with himself, to go all out or do what is necessary to save Harlem. I love that...save Harlem. Here is a Brother who could be the baddest motherfucker out there, but choses to not to. He choses the path of Good. The Brother who has had enough & wants to change shit for the better & has the means to get it done. & Yet he still follows the law to a certain degree...well he is kicking the ass of all these unsavory individuals.

The Soundtrack is excellent & each episode named after a Gang Starr tune...nice touch.

The positivity is Good. I loved in the last episode where he breaks in to solioquy about what Harlem is, what Harlem should be. The Centre of Black Arts & Culture, the Embodiment of all that is Black & Beautiful. The shining light of Hope.

Damn don't you love fiction, but Mr Cage also speaks the truth.

Timing of this series is so correct, with all that is going on in the United States (there's a contradiction in terms)...Black Lives matter, yes they do as does all life. But this Indestructible Brother in a Hoody is doing the right thing on screen. Who knows what this will inspire...

But I do reckon there will be a lot of People wearing Bullet Holed Sweatshirt's out on the Streets, in the near future.

Be well.
